A total of 34 farmers were attended the programme. Also an awareness programme on ‘Recycling of residues for soil and crop health improvement’ was conducted in Mararikulam Panchayath. Along with 2 teaching staffs, 22 students were attended the programme. The cleaning was carried out in the school campus followed by the land preparation for nutrition garden. On 28.10.16, an awareness programme on ‘Nutrition garden for a clean school campus’ was conducted at GHSS Kalavoor, in Mannanchery Panchayath. A total of 35 farmers and rural youth including members of farm club were attended the programme. Project Director, ATMA-Alappuzha were present on the occasion. On 27.10.16, an awareness programme on ‘Organic manure production from the biowaste at homestead level’ was conducted at Aryad Panchayath in association with Aryad Farmers’ Club. Including both farmers and rural youth, a total of 32 entrepreneurs were attended the programme. A training programme on ‘Scientific Mushroom Cultivation’ and a method demonstration on composting of spent mushroom substrate were carried out at KVK. On 24.10.16, an awareness programme on ‘Income generation through waste management’ was carried out for entrepreneurs in Mushroom Cultivation. Children to speak about and take pledge for Swachhata (including COVID related preventive infection control measures related to mask, safe distancing, hand hygiene etc). A total of 26 students and 4 teaching staffs were attended the programme. Swachhata Shapath Day Swachhata Shapath function may be organized wherein all students and teachers/staff may participate virtually/physically with social distancing. Schools, HCF’s, AWC’s and other institutions have taken oath through ‘Swachhta Shapath’ to keep their nearby environment. A lecture session followed by method demonstration of vermicomposting was carried out. Ban on single use of plastic Under ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’, the government has put a ban on single use of plastic across offices encouraging citizens to find substitute to plastic like cloth bags, jute bags etc. On 19.10.16, an awareness programme on ‘Waste management through organic recycling’ was conducted for students of VHSE (Agriculture) from Naduvattom HSS, Harippad. All the staff members were actively participated in it. On 18.10.16, a cleaning programme was organized in KVK building and premises. The Swachhta Shapath in bilingual (Hindi and English) format was made available on the internal portal of ONGC as well as displayed on the. The Pakhwada has been flagged off today, across all ONGC work centres by taking the Swachhta E-pledge. It is the ultimate way to achieve success in many fields as well as enhance the economic status of the country.
As part of Swachhta Pakhwada celebration during 16 to 31 October, 2016, Swachhta Shapath was carried out on along with ICAR CPCRI Regional Station. This year, Swachh Bharat Pakhwada, 2021 is once again being observed by ONGC with zeal and vigor. Swachh bharat abhiyan is a clean India campaign run by the government to achieve the goal of cleanliness and hygiene all over the India to lead it towards development.
